It worked perfectly. I plugged it in and turned on my computer and that was it. I would however have you verify that this is the product you actually need. Some computers may not actually have a DVI output but rather a VGA output. Make sure you are purchasing the right converter base on your computers capabilities. I got it a few days after ordering it, pulled it out its box, then removed it from its plastic bag and attached it to a hdmi cable. I hooked it up to my video card and then to my tv and it worked perfectly. The picture quality is very good with no visible noise or signal degradation. RF shielding is also good. I have near by numerous RF transmitting devices of varying frequencies and power levels, and see no changes or drops in video quality during transmission. The HDMI video cable fits on to the HDMI port on the adaptor with ease. The DVI side of the adaptor uses the standard connector screws to secure the cable to the DVI port on the monitor. For the price, and assuming consistent manufacturing quality, I recommend this video cable adaptor. Item was promptly shipped by Eforcity. Great Adapter At a Great Price   February 2, 2010 chill_dog 2 out of 2 found this review helpful Normally I'd just say something to the affect of "it's an adapter, it works" and move along, but there is one thing I'd like to point out. I'll save you the boring details as to why I bought the adapter, but at one point in all of the connections I was making, I had the following configuration: DVI out on PC > DVI/HDMI adapter > HDMI cable > TV. The video came through perfectly, as expected, but the surprising thing to me was that the audio came through, as well. After a little research, I discovered that some video card manufacturers (nVidia in my case) have started producing DVI connections that pass audio along as well as video. Maybe that's not news to some people, but it was to me (and a friend who's an IT consultant by trade). Now, there are only a couple of (most likely rare) instances where I can see this ability being necessary, but if you find yourself in one of those situations, this adapter will work for you. I also have to agree with the people who noted that the screws used to secure the adapter to the PC/monitor aren't the most user-friendly in the world. But considering most people aren't constantly hooking/unhooking their connections, this isn't something I felt warranted docking a star for, especially when you consider this adapter was only $4 shipped (and shipped very quickly by Eforcity). I looked online at a few big electronic stores and they were charging anywhere from fifteen to thirty dollars- I really didn't want to spend that much. Hopped on here, saw the price and was highly suspicious at first, but after reading some reviews, I figured I could gamble the $.45 and S&H on it. I'm not disappointed. The adapter is not really low-profile, but more so than a lot of the others I have seen. It works flawlessly and I have noted no problems with it. You really can't go wrong with this. I gave it five starts because there's nothing wrong with it. Yes, it does get a little claustrophobic around the back of my monitor, but that's not a fault of the products.
